You don't need to memorise 78 cards.
This is the most important thing I want you to know before we begin. Learning Tarot isn’t about cramming 78 definitions into your memory. Because even if you manage that, eventually you’ll lay three cards on the table and discover that knowing what each card “means” isn’t the same thing as knowing how to read them.
Tarot is a language of Divination.
There are patterns in the numbers, relationships between the suits, stories and occult images that give you clues. There are cards that reinforce, challenge and change each other depending on where they appear and what you’re asking. Once you understand the language, you have begun your practice of Divination, even when you can’t remember the guidebook definition.
That’s what I’m going to teach you.
This course might be for you if...
- You own a Tarot deck (or several…) but don’t use it nearly as much as you’d like.
- You know the card meanings, but putting several cards together into a reading still doesn’t come as naturally as you’d like.
- You find yourself reaching for the guidebook more often than you wish you did, or second-guessing what you see when your interpretation doesn’t match what you’ve been taught.
- You’ve tried learning Tarot through keywords and definitions and feel like there must be more to it than memorising what 78 cards are supposed to mean.
- You’ve been reading for a while, but want to go deeper, to notice more in the cards, understand how they work together, and explore your own way of reading.
- Or maybe you’re completely new to Tarot and would rather learn this way from the beginning.
You don’t need to arrive at any particular level. Bring a deck, your curiosity, and a willingness to look at the cards in a new way.
Six weeks of truly learning to read Tarot
We’ll meet live every Sunday for six weeks.
Of course we’ll learn the cards themselves, but we’ll also spend time using them.
We’ll look at what you’re seeing, how cards relate to one another, what changes when you ask different questions, and how your own way of reading begins to emerge.
Week 1: Seeing with New Eyes
We’ll begin with the deck as a whole: how Tarot works, how to approach a reading, and how to start building a relationship with your cards without worrying about knowing everything yet.
Week 2: The Major Arcana
We’ll explore the bigger archetypes and stories running through the Major Arcana — and learn how to recognise what these cards might be bringing into a reading.
Week 3: The Minor Arcana
The moment Tarot starts becoming much easier to understand.
Instead of memorising dozens of individual meanings, we’ll look at the structure of the suits and numbers so that when a card appears, you already have somewhere to begin.
We also explore the magical correspondences and how they help to tell the story of the spread.
Week 4: The Court Cards
Pages, Knights, Queens and Kings have a reputation for being some of the trickiest cards in the deck.
We’ll explore different ways of reading them: as people, personalities, energies and ways of moving through the world, so you can work out what they’re doing in this reading rather than reaching for one fixed definition.
Week 5: Questions, Spreads & Reading Cards Together
Where individual cards become a reading.
We’ll work with combinations, spreads and questions, and practise noticing the relationships and stories that emerge when several cards are on the table.
week 6: Reading for Yourself and Others
There isn’t one correct way to read Tarot.
In our final week we’ll bring everything together, explore your own reading style and look at how you can continue developing a Tarot practice that actually feels like yours.
What I want you to leave with.
I don’t expect you to finish six weeks with 78 perfectly memorised card meanings. That’s not the goal!
I want you to understand Tarot in a way that gives you more to work with, no matter if you’re laying down your first cards or you’ve been reading for years. I’m going to teach you to notice what’s happening in a card before reaching for what you’ve been told it means. This is the Divination muscle you will flex!
You’ll also understand the patterns, structure and relationships within the deck, so you have more ways into a reading when the answer isn’t immediately obvious. And to see how cards speak to each other, rather than treating each one as a separate piece of information. Mostly I want you to trust what you see, while also having enough knowledge to explore why you might be seeing it that way.
And if you already read Tarot, I want to give you new ways of looking at cards you may have seen hundreds of times before.
Most of all, I want you to leave knowing your deck better , and knowing yourself better as a reader!

A little about me.
I’ve been reading and studying Tarot for decades after picking up my first deck as a teeanger. Somewhere along the way, Tarot stopped feeling like 78 separate cards I was supposed to know, and started feeling like a language. Things especially changed for me as I studied deeper in occultism, divination and the structure of what makes a reading both my own AND accurate.
That’s the experience behind Tarot in Bloom that I want to share with you.
I’m not interested in turning Tarot into another thing you have to be “good at,” or teaching you that there’s one correct interpretation you need to memorise.
I want to give you a strong foundation in the cards while also helping you discover how you see them, how you make connections and what kind of Tarot reader you might become.
Because eventually, your relationship with the cards has to become your own.

You’ll need your own Tarot deck. The Rider-Waite-Smith deck or a deck based closely on its imagery will be easiest to learn with, but I’ll talk you through what you need before we begin.
A few questions you might have
Do I need to know Tarot already?
No. You can come as a complete beginner. The course is also suitable if you’ve been playing with Tarot for a while but still don’t feel comfortable reading without checking the book.
Do I need to memorise all the cards? Absolutely not. You’ll learn the structure, symbolism and patterns that give you ways into a card even when you don’t remember a traditional meaning.
What deck do I need?
A Rider-Waite-Smith deck, or a deck based fairly closely on its system, will make learning together easiest. If you’re unsure about the deck you already have, just ask me.
Is this live?
Yes. This is a live six-week class rather than a self-paced video course. I want you to be able to ask questions, practise and learn alongside other readers rather than simply watching me talk about Tarot.
What if I’m already reading Tarot?
You’re welcome too. If you’ve learned card meanings but want to become more fluid, intuitive and confident about putting cards together, there’s plenty here for you.
How much does it cost?
